Our design approach focused on creating an open yet defined outdoor pavilion that blends relaxation with functionality. A large tensile canopy structure forms the centerpiece of the design, providing shade and weather protection while maintaining an airy, lightweight architectural presence. Beneath the canopy, seating is arranged in organized clusters to encourage both small group conversations and larger social gatherings. The bar counter positioned at the far end of the space acts as a focal point and service hub, reinforcing the area’s role as a social extension of the sports facility.
Several key decisions shaped the overall atmosphere of the space. Durable outdoor furniture was selected to ensure comfort while withstanding regular use and exposure to the elements. Integrated landscape elements, including perimeter greenery and potted plants, soften the built environment and help define the boundaries of the lounge. Path lighting and subtle fixtures enhance safety and ambiance during evening use, ensuring the space remains welcoming throughout the day and night.
